I have finished the quilt top for my friend's baby. It has even been sandwiched. I have been attempting to free motion quilt the sucker, but have pulled it out several times for the following reasons:
- the quilting is too close together
- the quilting is too far apart
- the stitches are too long
- the stitches are too short
- the stitches overlap
- there is a pucker in the fabric
- I am seriously too type A
Perhaps you will see more crafty type posts when I overcome my personality flaws?
AH hon . .you just need to go with the flow . . wash it up and it'll be as good as golden . .trust me on this one!

I'm with Donna. Go with it and you'll be pleasantly surprised!
ReplyDeleteAlso, you could get a washable marker (there are some at fabricland, but I've seen people even use crayola washables) and draw your lines on first...a lot more work, but maybe would save you from pulling out a million more stitches!
